A career within the Cloud Engineering Practice, will provide you with the opportunity to assist leading organizations develop and implement strategies that transform their technology capabilities and solve their most critical business challenges. Joining this newly formed team will allow you the opportunity to shape, scale and provide leadership to a group of highly skilled cloud architects and engineers. You will be able to combine your consulting, technical and industry expertise to build and deliver emerging cloud solutions. With a focus on Cloud and DevOps you will collaborate with internal teams and customers to implement hybrid cloud architectures, leverage cloud services, ensuring a solid foundation to run, manage and scale their critical business applications.

As a Cloud Architect Manager , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Customer Success
• Collaborate with cross functional team members to develop and propose to potential customers technical cloud based solutions including proposals and statements of work
• Assist to develop reference architectures and best practice approaches to optimize clients' cloud adoption, application performance, security, and cost models
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate to designs and approach
• Participate in meetings and discussions with internal and external customers
• Identify and prioritize use cases for implementation
• Identify technical requirements for the identified use cases and build an implementation plan
• Deliver presentations and technical demonstrations to customers and to the community at industry events

Coaching, Recruiting, and Mentorship
• Collaborate with team members and foster an environment where technical professionals can develop their skills and grow their careers; taking on increased responsibility and adding value to the organization
• Identify new candidates to join the Cloud Engineering team
• Help with ongoing recruiting and technical interview process
• Provide coaching and mentoring to fellow team members

Implementation, Innovation (building), and Learning
• Take an "always learning" approach to your role, continuing to advance your skills, knowledge and network in Cloud and DevOps
• Cloud moves fast and requires a lot of "labbing and learning ", be an out of the box thinker; look for opportunities to learn new software and technology
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on PwC's Azure offerings
• Obtain and maintain relevant certifications as needed for the Cloud Engineering Practice
• Collaborate with your team members and contribute as a technical team member while participating in multiple concurrent cloud focused projects, ensuring implementations are well aligned with the overall architecture
• Identification and build of reusable and repeatable cloud-based patterns and artifacts that the practice can bring to market
• Be an active member in the technology community, provide thought leadership and mentorship, share your knowledge and expertise

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Extensive experience in cloud architecture and business applications, project execution, practice management and an understand of software development
• Experience in implementation and scale of cloud based projects with a specific focus on the following:
• Cloud technology architectures and solution options aligned to technology strategy and cloud infrastructure use cases, including hybrid cloud and deployment options (PaaS, IaaS, etc )
• Change management practices including organizational models, roles / responsibilities and technology tooling and automation
• Application modernization strategies and tooling
• Working knowledge of supporting the removal of technical debt and legacy applications
• Experience working in waterfall, scrum, agile, and other methodologies
• Good oral and written communication skills with prior working experience in a consulting environment, including developing business presentations and technical writing with an ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
• When applying to a Quebec based opportunity, fluency in French is required. Outside of Quebec, fluency in French is an asset

• Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage (Blob, File, Disk)
• Azure Geo-Redundancy, Disaster Recovery architecture and design.
• Azure Subscription Management, Azure Policies . Azure Landing Zones
• Azure Front Door, Azure Gateway, Azure API-M
• Cloud Networking (VPC, Subnets, etc )
• Infrastructure as code - Terraform , Ansible, ARM templates , Bicep etc.
• Configuration management - Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Saltstack , etc .
• CI/CD - Jenkins, Tekton , ArgoCD , Flux , Azure DevOps
• Azure CLI
• Git and various git platforms (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket , etc )
• Agile software development and release cycle management
• Software testing and test suites
• Application monitoring and alerting
• Technical presentations and public speaking engagements
