What you will do
  • Responsible for the day-to-day KDN Central financial activities and compliance with KDN Principles and Policies and consult with subject matter experts for any F&A matters.
  • Oversee a controlling team of three individuals based in Budapest to achieve completion of all assigned tasks. Serve as people manager to foster development of controlling team.
  • Responsible for the monthly closing process of KDN Central and supports monthly reporting of KDN Central standalone accounts as well as consolidated accounts of the KDN Group.
  • Responsible for completeness and accuracy of KDN Central income statement and balance sheet, including reconciling prepayments, accruals and asset register and other related balance sheet items.
  • Oversee quality of accounting for KDN entities; Work closely with the outsourced provider and finance teams of OpCo to ensure their compliance with KDN Finance Principles and Policies, accuracy in accounts payable, account receivable and consistent application of GL coding and other finance and accounting rules set for the KDN Group.
  • Review and approve weekly payment supporting documentation (including payroll run review) in rotation with other members of the Finance team.
  • Liaise with Finance Business Partners in KPMG International and functional finance leads for Advisory, Tax and Audit OpCo' s to support financial analysis and all financial inputs for consolidation.
  • Prepare annual budget and forecast for KDN Central and provide actual financial results for an actual vs budget analysis.
  • Assist in preparation of draft IFRS financial statements, working papers and any additional information for the interim and annual audit. Analyze movements in the financial statements and provide explanations as required.
  • Support interim and annual statutory and internal audits of all KDN entities.
What you bring to the role
  • Undergraduate degree in business or finance or accounting
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a group controller role
  • Holds a CPA or similar accounting designation preferably obtained through experience at a \"Big 4\" or mid-sized public accounting firm
  • At least 7 years of finance operations financial and management accounting experience preferably in a large multinational environment
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Advance Excel skills
